(OT) what system?

Toon is OOP but can be gotten second hand from many web-stores.

Toon was put out by Steve Jackson Games. There is enough information on the toon section of their website.

Fudge is basically a system to design a system. It allows the GM to design their own role-playing game by making the system less generic. As such it is almost always a best fit but also most work system. Personally I think that QLM could be used to play comedy very well since comedy is mostly role-playing and qlm is a rules light system.

GURPS might suit for comedy too. Take a look at GURPS: Discworld for ideas.

GURPS Goblins is also a pretty good example of how to adapt GURPS to a humorous topic. I don't think GURPS is ideal for comedy, but it's the only generic system I've got much experience with.

If you're looking for good comedic games that are tied to a setting, my overall favorites are Paranoia, Toon, Bunnies & Burrows (the FGU version, not the GURPS version) and Og: The Caveman RPG.

Comedic games

Deffinatley toon, and paranoia.
There was also a bunch of boards games put out several years ago that were alot of fun and humorous, I wanna say that one of them was Wabbit Wampage.
Also cheap ass games has alot of humorous stuff, and reindeer games had a lot of funny but cheap games.

Do a search on "Paranoia Online" for a Paranoia website.

Also, if you like a "narrativist" game (where players can create the story), see if Donjon or Soap might work for you. Reviews are on RPGnet.

Finally, for d20, there's the SnarfQuest Worldbook.

Tales from the FLoating Vagabond, (of TFV as I call it) was a fantastic beer and pretzels comedy game. Back in 1992 I declared it the only game that could easily duplicate the "Monkey Island series" of computer games. (Guybrush Threepwood had an awesome coat in return to Monkey Island: LeChuck's Revenge, that looks like it came STRAIGHT from a TFV Shtick.)
