Katherine Kurtz's Deryni series is my all time favorite. I love mysteries some favorites are Anne Perry, Ellis Peters, Carolyn Hart. I am especially fond of medieval mysteries I just picked up Michael Jecks first book The Last Templar, one of the main characters is a surviving Templar who was not in France when his brothers were killed at the order of the Pope.
