Our Physical Fitness

Legs today, not bad. Minor knee tweak on extensions at 225. Tomorrow should be some more upper body.

Shoulder is feeling really good this week.

Looking for a 6th day of core/light work on Saturday, relax on Sunday.

Still suffering through the vertigo and resting. It's not very noticeable while I'm sitting still, so I'm able to work ok, though the meds make me a bit fuzzy. :/

I've got a friend's birthday gathering and a party invite this evening which I will be sad to miss if this crap doesn't improve today.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!

Frustrated due to other events, Chest Day was good.

I think you had it right @darjr and it was inflammation as I am really feeling it in this heat, and I was back to 180 on my weekly weigh in.

Typical stuff, even got 14 reps at 230, and everything feels stronger.

I think my end of year goal will be 100s dumbbell Incline lol.

Back day. We have a decent amount of smoke in the air from a fire about an hour away.

Got most everything I wanted done, but I'm pretty worn down by the heat and my joints are still flaring up, cut it short by a few exercises as my elbows and wrists didn't lime it.

Le sigh.

Bit of a breeze, so cooler air is coming and with it my sleep will improve.

All that said, I'm going to mix up my workouts to get something fresh going. I'll write it up later.

Vertigo has still been derailing my exercises since last Monday. :/ Thankfully meds have kept nausea under control, but I still feel too lightheaded and off-balance to do weights or even my calisthenics. I did see a doc this week and I've got a vestibular PT session this afternoon, so hopefully that helps!

I don't want to jinx it, but I'm feeling increasingly normal so far today.

Between the double Epley maneuver yesterday, getting off the meclizine (which is great for vertigo-induced nausea, but muffles the neural response from the non-impaired vestibular organ as well and creates its own weird floaty sensation), and the intervening hours for my brain and vestibular system to get recalibrated to each other... I might be ok to go to the gym after work. :)

I've been unable to monitor my diet over the summer with all the travel and events (daughter just graduated high school). The training, however, has been consistent. Last week, after a trip with my youngest, I weighed in at 169: the heaviest I've been since the beginning of the pandemic. :(

This past week, I locked in and weighed in this morning at 166. The school year starts next week (I'm an academic), so I'll be back on a daily regimen, which should help. I think it's back to counting calories and tracking macros. That's really the only way I've ever been able to consistently lose weight without losing muscle.

During the trip, we hiked one of my favorite trails and...I'm in rough cardio shape. So I think I'm also going to incorporate some jogging--at least twice a week. Ugh.

Missed yesterday, went today.

Bike
Curls
Face Pulls
Bench (200, 230, 250) Tweaked a bit on the last reps. I think its fine but its too heavy for me. Shoulder's are hot currently.
Dips 75
Pull ups.
Fly Machine
Barbell Row (Bent over)
Incline 70, 80, 80 (was feeling very sad at this point and sweating)
Light Delt Fly/Dumbell Curl (20s 10 x 10) x 3

Protein and Collagen shake now, then I need to clean up some things and continue efforts at downsizing so I can move somewhere cheaper.
