Overlooked, underappreciated, spells and powers

Grease. Take away the favorite weapon of your enemy. Seen it works miracles against giants by stripping away their two-handed weapon so that they lose some of their fearsome damage bonus and Power Attack potential.

Produce Flame is a fabulous spell for a 4th or 5th level caster, but it does fade in usefulness after that. An 8th level Druid is going to average ~14 damage with a full attack, and that really is not better than a Magic Missle. Not bad for a first level spell slot but not great either.

Sound Burst scales up very well because that Stun looks more and more valuable as you are fighting more dangerous foes. The damage is just a bonus.

I think that Walls and Fogs are generally underappreciated. Isolating or delaying a portion of the enemy, even if it is just for a round or two, can be devastating if you have good teamwork.

Well, until they step outside the "line". It was a useless spell before, I wonder why they made it even more useless by turning it into a line? A cone and it might have been worthwhile. But a line?
