Oversized Weapons in the Builder

Is it...lol...The builder never told me that. My builds tend to be Str/Con based and playing a Goliath everytime is getting old.

Have you tried a Dragonborn yet? While they don't get the bump to CON, and the bump to CHA goes wasted, they have a lot of stuff that keys off CON and makes it a useful stat. The +CON to surge value alone has made my Dragonborn Fighter one tough SOB. Plus, depending on the class, there's a LOT of Dragonbron feats that can be pretty nasty as well.

I've been running an all goblinoid campaign for a while now. The pc classes allowed were bugbear, orc, goblin, hobgoblin, kobold. Neither oversized weapons, nor shifting as a minor have caused any problems yet. I think atm i have 2 bugbears, a goblin, 2 kobolds, and an orc.

Well, I would say that the fact that 4 out of your 6 players are playing one of the two "overpowered" characters to be evidence of how they're a bit overpowered.

Also, while you may not have noticed a problem now, I'm guessing you're still in Heroic, right? Cuz there's quite a few ways to abuse things like oversize weapons when you get into the higher tiers. 2d6 Brutal 2 (which many consider the next logical upgrade from 1d12 Brutal on an Execution Axe) is nasty enough as is...but then what happens if they take something like Eternal Defender? Do they go up to 2d6 Brutal 3? 3d4 Brutal 2 (which is just ridiculous, since you'll never get below a 9 for base damage)? These are where the problems start to come in.

How so, there is nothing they can do as players that i can't seamlessly balance out in the monsters they fight. Having players being powerful should never be a problem, only having players that have enough of a effectiveness difference between them that one player may feel useless.

3d4 brutal 2 is a damage range of 9 to 12, or an average of 10.5. Which is exremely good, compared to a normal executioner axe of 7.5. However thats 3 damage per round, and thats not going to make any of my players feel weak or left out.

Why would the Brutal rating go up? The chart in the PHB (equipment section page... 219? or 220) for die increases never even comes close to even implying that.

An oversized+ED Exe axe would be 2d8 brutal 2. 4-16 damage, average 10. Though with multi-W powers (Barbarians come to mind) it'd be a decent gain, it isn't seriously worth fretting about.

Thought I'ld use the same Thread for a Builder question. How come when you save a character and port it out, It doesn't keep track of the languages spoken?
