Party Level vs. Character Level Awards

Also, by the DMG rules, a CR 7 creature and a CR 3 creature combine to make an EL of 7. The CR 3 doesn't add enough danger to the encounter to push it to 8. That means that if you do it by the DMG, the characters effectively get no experience whatsoever for killing that CR 3 creature. You want to do it BY creature and BY character.

Well if you don't have time but if you have Excel installed on your computer, you can use my little XP calculator (works for regular DMG calculations and tedious FRCS calculations).

I think someone else also has a java XP calculator, don't remember who tho.

In sheet XP by FRCS you need to put a '$' in front of the first 'B' in cell D9 and then copy it to the other cells again.
