I am glad they cleared that up. Under the non-errata'd version there would have been plenty of times when the Diehard feat would have been completely useless instead of giving you just a little extra breathing room.
There were other oddities too, like how there were situations where you would die faster because you were healed even though you were hit the same number of times.
