Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder Just Keeps Looking Better

...am I right?

Yup. I was woried at first that they would change it too much, but it looks to be perfect. If you have a 3.5 book, then you might not need pathfinder. Since WoTC is not selling 3.5, or 3.0 anymore, if Pathfinder wants to support the rules, they HAVE to make thier own book, so new people will be able to buy it. They fixed some stuff along the way. I'm with them until the end.

While I have no interest in Pathfinder and do not plan to buy it, I am happy that those gamers who like it have the option.

So, no, to me Pathfinder doesn't look any better. But beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Me too, thank you for saying it so well.

I'm not super-excited about Pathfinder, but if it eventually trends toward greater 3.5 compatibility, simpler mechanics, and solid 3e feel, I'm in.

I'm editing the final version of the rules right now, and I think a lot of people will be pleased by the way it is in some ways closer to 3.5 than the Beta was, but also chock full of interesting new polishes, fixes, and improvements.

I haven't had my hands this deep into the rules for almost a year, and I'm really liking what I'm seeing.

(I am biased, of course, but still...)

For me it's all about OD&D, The Fantasy Trip, Powers & Perils, and GURPS right now. I had been waiting for a second printing of the D&D 4e core books that incorporated the errata but I've decided to pass on those indefinitely.

I like how PF is going, it looks very promising, but far from enough to convince me to go back to playing 3E. Fortunately with my using C&C I still get to easily use the awesomeness of the Paizo PF AP's and modules, as well as Goodmans 4E modules, so I am all good, and still able to support Paizo.

I will wait for PAizo to get around to writing their own streamlined kick butt RPG system.
