Having trouble running the .Jar file for PCgen if anyone can help I would be much in your debt

First, make sure you have the proper version of Java installed. Go to http://java.com , click the 'Download Now' button and follow the instructions on the page it takes you to.

Once that is installed, try running pcgen again.

If it still fails, post to the pcgen yahoo group at http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/pcgen/ with a few more details on what went wrong.

Assuming you have java installed, it sounds like you are trying to run the jar file itself. Try running the .bat file. That has the actual method to run the .jar file in it.
