PDA or Paper Planner?

I"m a paper guy myself, so I think you've made a wise decision.

Size, simplicity and durability are my key factors.

For about 15 years, I've kept a fairly simple one that's not much bigger than a checkbook -- so it fits in the back pocket of my jeans or shorts (depending on the season). It's got a weekly view, address book, notes pages, and used to carry a checkbook (a moot feature in the age of the check card).

I can flip it open and seen anything in less time than it takes most people to turn on their PDA.

I thought about going to a PDA, but realized I'd probably stick it in my pocket and sit on it within a week... Paper is more resistant to being crushed.

Besides, I figure if I ever need more than this, it'll be good sign that my life has gotten too complicated and it's time to re-assess where I'm at.

AND! Franklin Covey makes absolutely adorable totes to carry your planner in.

I'll be the most fashionable girl at school! *giggles like a teenager*
They also do personalizations pretty cheaply- initials, name, whatever.

And for the decision you made the right one :) --speaking from a personal choice of paper planner myself--

No need to worry about batteries, or hook ups, or wires... just a pen or pencil which most Franklin Covey's have a holder for and the paper which you can gets in all sorts of styles and designs.
