This thread is for any follow-up questions we may have after the chat.
Personally, I found the first chat quite enlightening for a couple of reasons. One, it seems we're all floundering around when it comes to writing a press release, trying to find something that works. Makes me feel good, because the one PR I have done seems to come out good (though I have no idea if it really had any effect, except for one sale in particular), but as the time (quickly) approaches for my next product to be released I find myself thinking if (a) I should make a PR, and (b) if I do, what to put in it. Something I need to think about.
The other thing I found very interesting was that for Phil Reed/Ronin Arts, PR have no effect on sales; it's almost as if Ronin Arts has become so successful it has surpassed the need for a PR.
Phil's idea of cross-marketing was a great one, and one we should really put into action come the holidays: come up with a massive coordinated sale between various publishers so we can all benefit from the promotion and traffic.
There were some other things I had in mind that escape me now, so I'll come later with some more thoughts.
Definitely looking forward the next chat. These have the potential to help us all better ourselves as publishers, and thus better the PDF industry.
