Petition to WOTC for POL Map

I think if WotC is trying to get people that have grown up on video games, giving them as many visual aids as possible is probably a good idea. Those people aren't quite used to depending on their imagination for so much of their entertainment experience, so it'd probably be helpful to find way to lower that initial 'imagination shock', if you will.
Where do people get opinions like this? Seriously. What, exactly, drives people to characterize an entire generation as, for example, "having less imagination than my own generation"? A moment's reflection will reveal that it's patently untrue, and furthermore based on no evidence but a half-hearted prejudice against people who find entertainment value in things (in this case video games) that the speaker dislikes.

What they could do is in the DMG's worldbuilding section, do a worked example of "Making a Campaign Map" with step-by-step description of their thought process and recommendations, ending with a full example map.
With said example map being the skeletal PoL setting map...now we're getting somewhere! :)

I'm advocating not only a map, but several versions of the PoL assumptions, messing around with history, power groups, etc.

Perfect 10!

...maybe Wizards should go to White Wolf's nWoD to see how to do this kind of stuff *right* (e.g. VII for V:tR)

And where do we post if we disagree?

Here too, I guess...

I disagree, I prefer a series of locations that I can toss in my setting, I don't want a full defined new setting.

I guess everybody have their opinion, and you cannot please everybody...

That would be really wonderful!

I don't think they will do it, DMG is already too full of stuff and all development seems almost done. But it would be great...

I still think they should only have multiple, downloadable examples like a map making contest which includes all the core material on one map.

I was thinking the same thing - fans could also create versions of a PoL map. It would be a pretty neat project...
