I'm digging the runepriest as well. Cool flavor & neat abilities.

reading through it, I have to call myself initially more impressed with Monk and Psion, and less impressed with Seeker and Battlemind.

The thing I really like about the rune priest is while you choose a build option, it doesn't affect your powers - power X isn't better if you're a type 1 priest. Instead, every power has two associated options - one based on defence, and one on offence. So, each time you use a power, you choose which of those options to invoke. And there's no reason why you can't switch choices each and every time you use the power, which is awesomesauce in my book.

I'm not a huge fan of the class thematically, mind you, but hey, that's what re-fluffing is all about, right?

The Dallas area is another area in which the PHB3 is out early...and not just in major stores, either. I just perused it in a tiny hole-in-the-wall game store that someone just recommended to me.

But we have a history of getting stuff early- we got the Core 3 for 3Ed & 3.5 at least a month before my buddy in Boston even saw it.

Closest thing to that is an Assassin Paragon path, which lets you conjure a soulknife. Nothing in PHB along those lines.

You know...this may sound weird but the thing that most impressed me was a singular piece of art.

The picture of the female monk for the Mountain Devotee - monk paragon path.

Reason being is that it is incredibly rare to find an artist that can actually depict a woman with ACTUAL muscles and definition.

SHE looks like a mountain that can kick your butt and that is frankly too rare in the world of art I find.
