Hello all!
It just happened in my campaign that the thief (sorry, rogue
) started stealing purses from tavern patrons to fund his evening entertainment. I had no problem with it until he actually asked exactly how much he could steal like this.
I ruled that he could make as much money from this as someone would from a perform check using his pickpocketing check instead. I would modify the result according to the type of tavern he's in (since patrons of a tavern on the docks and those in a "restaurant" in the upper class district probably do not have the same amount of money in their pocket).
What do you think of this? Is there any published set of rule on this? Do you have a house rule for this?
