Pimp my Pixie

First Post
Ok so in the Gestalt Eberron game that I DM, we just did a backstory for the Duskling Barbarian/Totemist in the group. Now one of the NPCs that came out of this was a Evilish Pixie, I am thinking about bringing him back later on with a bunch of levels of Warlock/??. I was wondering what crazy ideas people have out there for a Pixie Warlock Gestalt build.

- 32 pt buy
- Gestalt rules
- Pixie = -4 Str, +8 Dex, +6 Int, +4 Wis, +6 Cha
- All books avail.

Have at it. If you have the time, I would love to see progression from 10th-20th level as this may become a reoccuring villian :)

I was thinking of adding Hexblade for the otherside, d10 hp, Full BAB, Curses, etc.

Cheers,
E

Pixies must have Rogue levels. It's in a by-law somewhere. Natural invisibility + sneak attack = win. :)

So, how about a gestalt Rogue // Sorcerer? Have him take at least one Ray spell at each spell level -- Spell Compendium has a nice large section of Ray spells.

PC: "Five dee six plus one dee three acid damage?! Spellcraft check!" *rolls* "24!"

DM: "Acid splash." :]

PC:

Cheers, -- N

Ummm... if you allow the Pixie ECL to take up one half of the gestalt (and have levels alongside it), this will be a horribly broken character... says a person who played a gestalt Pixie once...

As a pixie, one of your biggest weaknesses is crappy HP. I recommend making one of your gestalt classes barbarian. Barb/rogue would be particularly nice. If you must be a caster for RP reasons, just know that Sorc/Rogue and Warlock/Rogue only seem like a good idea until you fail your first reflex save against a fireball.

Firstly, how are you handling the LA + Gestalt?

LA on one side, class levels on the other? Or does LA take up both sides?

FWIW, I've pondered the problem a bit and I think what I'd do if I ever run a Gestalt game again would be to put Full LA on one 'side' of the gestalt and Half the LA on the 'other side' with Racial HD on both sides as follows:

ECL 10 Pixie Warlock // Fighter 8HD (3d6 + 5d10 hp)
Code:
    LA +1 // LA +1
    LA +2 // LA +2
    HD +1 // HD +1
    LA +3 // Warlock 1
    LA +4 // Warlock 3
Fighter 1 // Warlock 4
Fighter 2 // Warlock 5
Fighter 3 // Warlock 6
Fighter 4 // Warlock 7
Fighter 5 // Warlock 8

Generally LA takes up both sides of the Gestalt to get rid of alot of cheese factor :) But I like what you suggest and would be inclined to try it out. I am DMing so I tend to be a little looser for NPCs regarding the gestalt stuff, as long as it makes things fun and doesn't overshadow the PCs.

A Pixie with class levels has no racial HD.

My take? If LA is on one side of the gestalt, the other side is levels of Commoner.

Gah! You are correct. The example holds for races with more than one racial HD though. ;)

Commoner on one side is an interesting idea as well.

Since you are allowing the book of incarnum why not totemist//something?

Rogue was already mentioned and it is very powerful with the pixie. Scout is also a great option if you do not mind giving up full attacks.

Some of the totemist options would be really interesting there.

Are you allowed tome of nine swords? If so that could be incredibly entertaining as well!

Always invisible Totemist (grappling abilities as high as possible)//Tome of Nine Swords (all of the throwing creatures around abilities)

While people cannot see you just wander around the battlefield throwing people wherever you want!
