Pimp my Pixie

Bah, warlock. I'd go ranger/scout multiclass for one side (Swift Hunter) and Rogue for the other side. Add the Crossbow Sniper feat with TWF and Rapid Shot and Rapid Reload for handcrossbows, that dex should be used for something... and why not using all that sneak attack within 60ft if you have it?

Ah yeah, I forgot: Get Greater Manyshot.

When you figure out the LA bit, my suggestion is Warlock/Psion.

I played in a fey party once, and the petal warlock was pretty gruesome, and my bownie psion nearly egowhipped a dragon to death.

Check out Matter Agitation and ego whip for the psion side, and remember that Darkness at will can be cast on things like arrows and it doesn't matter for the warlock if he has devil sight.

A Pixie Warlock/Spellthief would be nasty. Eldritch Blast + Sneak Attack... with sneaky abilities, debuffs, and utility spells? It would make for a tricksy encounter. Warlock/Beguiler would be similarly awful. Warlock/ Beguiler-Mindbender? Ouch.

Wow, you just made my day! Warlock/Spellthief is brilliant! The main issue is how to sneak attack the Warforged Cleric/Fighter with immunity to SA, the Duskling Barbarian/Totemist who is immune to SA from Rogues that aren't 5 levels higher and the same goes for the Changling Crusader/Rogue (UA variant).

I've always thought Warlock // Spellthief would be a great gestalt combo. You can't Sneak Attack everything, but with your invocations you don't necessarily need to.

FWIW, I've pondered the problem a bit and I think what I'd do if I ever run a Gestalt game again would be to put Full LA on one 'side' of the gestalt and Half the LA on the 'other side' with Racial HD on both sides as follows: ...

But why have Racial HD take up both sides? Those are very much akin to class levels.

LA should take up both sides, though (maybe just ½LA for one side, as suggested, but I would use full LA for both).

Excellent point. Racial HD should only be on one side. Something like:

Code:
    LA +1 // LA +1
    LA +2 // LA +2
    LA +3 // Warlock 1
    LA +4 // Warlock 2
Fighter 1 // Warlock 3
Fighter 2 // Warlock 4

LA on both sides seems a little weak compared to LA+0 Gestalt chars, but LA on one side seems a bit too strong, which is why I pondered compromising at LA on one side and 1/2 LA on the other.

I am actually leaning towards Thanee's suggestion. Makes my life easier and it is also how the PCs were generated, altho most of them bought out thier LA with XP, ala Unearthed Arcana. So would a Warlock 10/Spellthief 10 be CR 14? CR 16 with Irresistable Dance?

How about levels in Marshal (miniatures handbook). It gives you some nasty buffs for all allies (and yourself) based on your CHA. For instance, you could give all allies a +6 Reflex save if they are within 60'.

Marshal would be interesting but this may be an NPC that works on thier own.

Background: He works for a Verdant Prince (MM 4) on the plane of Thelanis (Eberron Campaign). He was met in one of the background sessions I run for my players (when we bring in new Characters/Players I always try to find time to run a lower level session of that one characters background) The background was for the Duskling Barbarian/Totemist in the party who was originally from Thelanis but was transported to Eberron by unknown means.

The session involved the PCs clan (the other players made up Duskling characters for this session) being poisoned and corrupted by an unknown source, the PCs were sent to investigate. After tracking down the source of corruption they met up with the Pixie and eventually subdue him/talk to him. He is unable to fix/help them but tells them how to summon the Verdant Prince, who appears and offers the PCs a way to heal thier tribe, they must kill the Shaman of the tribe. They make the oath and fullfil it, the Barbarian/Totemist takes the now empty position and the tribe is no longer corrupted. There are alot more details to the story but the basic premise is that the Pixie is Oathbound to the Verdant Prince and will eventually seek out the Totemist again.

Cheers,
E
