Pirate on Jeopardy!

Anyone else catch John "Ol' Chumbucket" Baur (of International Talk Like a Pirate Day fame) on Jeopardy last night? He seemed unusually nice for a pirate and talked and dressed kinda normal. He did pretty good in the game before botching his Final Jeopardy answer and finishing last (although I was a bit disappointed he didn't do better in the "Arr-Gang" category...OK, technically, it was called "R-Gang, but close enough!).

Not a bad showing for a pirate. Better than any ninja could do, I'm thinking.

Not really; he seemed pretty smart for a pirate--smarter than me. He talked a bit about the pirate gig when Alex Trebeck interviewed each player, but he never actually talked like a pirate (I was hoping he might utter a salty curse or two after missing a question, but he was really well-behaved).

Actually, about the only thing piratey about him was his beard and long hair.
