Planar Harness; Please comment

This is a new spell i made to counter things like Banish or Blashphemhy for Extra planer creatures.

Planar Harness
Abjuration
Level: Clr, Sor/Wiz 6
Components: V, S
Casting Time: 1 action
Range: Personal
Targets: You
Duration: 10 minutes/level
Saving Throw: No
Spell Resistance: None

You create a ring of blue light that rest around your waste that protects against all attempts to move the caster off their plane against there will. This only works against spell of 5th or lower level. If a will save is allowed for unwilling creatures they immediately succeed.

What do you guys think?

Couldn't you just use dimensional anchor on yourself? Though it would stop you from teleporting too... hm, on second thought this is pretty cool.

Maybe add a greater version for use against banishment as well?

Thanks, I was half into spliting it up, ubt I was going to try and keep it simple. If you wan't a greater planar harness I can make one.

This spell functions as Planar Harness except that it affects spells of 7th level and lower, it also counter acts any bonus that a feared object would grant against the caster in a banishment spell.


I was also thinking because dimensional lock is of the same level and last much, much longer I could have it help counteract the spells Symapthy and Antipathy

Hm, needs a little more oomph somehow. Maybe have the greater one protect against spells of 8th or lower level? I don't see it working against sympathy or anything- it's an entirely different sort of thing.
