Those aren't from Amazon or WotC, they are resellers or FLGS using Fulfillment by Amazon.
Amazon sells the normal cover at $38.81, which is probably close to wholesale price. So a wholesale reseller can make a tidy profit with that extra $16 per box.
I didn't realize that the alt covers were resellers, good catch. Amazon selling the normal covers at wholesale price reminds of something I learned when I worked at General Mills in the early 2000's. General Mills set the price of their products everywhere they sold it except for Walmart. Walmart sold so much that they were able to dictate at what price they would buy and sell General Mills (and probably everyone elses) products. I wouldn't be surprised if Amazon doesn't have similar clout these days.

Looked up godly for past edition Outlands domains and most are on the map, except Silvanus, Oghma, Untamo, Io, Eadro. Io realm's location is unknown, Silvanus and Eadro's realms might be in the Hinterlands, if that is still a thing, or moved to a more suitable Plane like the Beastlands or a Divine Domain in the Astral Sea (Beastlands seems to make more sense for Silvanus), Oghma's House of Knowledge was near the Spire, which made little sense to be, House of Knowledge fits better in Mechanus or Aborea, or on an Astral Domain. No idea about Untamo.
All but one of the Celtic deities has a domain in the Outlands. The plane of Concordant Opposition only exists because Jim Ward wanted them to have their own clubhouse that was True Neutral (because Druids).

A lot a things about Greyhawk make more sense when you keep in mind that in the original cosmology the Prime Material is the place where the elements and alignments are in balance.

On steroids, for sure.

Thing about the book industry, stores buy from a middleman distributor with no "set" price, except the MSRP which is well above wholesale coat. But there is no control for a store selling below MSRP, if they want to reduce their cut. I've heard FLGS owners say that Amazon's price for vooks is sometimes below what they have to pay at wholesale.

Pretty much this - Spelljammer was fine in concept, it just needed to be longer and include more setting info, and the ship schematics needed to be split out into a separate booklet.
Teos went through the original setting box and the 5e one and actually found them rather close. But missing a couple things many found key. More detailed ship battle rules for one.

But, we’ve also come a long way from then which he also noted.

I’ll add that I think many people thought there was more in the original first box too.

I do my fair share of online shopping out of necessity and convenience but that just sucks. I often wonder what the world would do if the internet just imploded and online shopping was no longer an option. It'd be bedlam and rioting in the streets.
