Pretty much - I'm familiar with 2e Planescape lore and was relaying my understanding of Modron promotion based on that.

With limited exceptions, I haven't really had cause to delve into stuff from 1e too much, so if it was handled differently back then, that would explain the discrepancy.
 



They did, in the post just above yours. They were indeed talking about 2e.
Yeah. Which is fine and fair, but the other fellow shouldn't have been speaking authoritatively on behalf of someone else there. At the time of the initial post he hadn't said that and it could have been 1e.
 

Sorry, it was in Tales from the Infinite Staircase, not the Great Modron March.

True Slaadi are completely variable. Any number of arms, big or small, any colour or many colours. And none of the normal 'slaadi' physiology or appearance. And yes, the Slaad lords are apparently the same, since they are true slaadi.

So true Slaadi are the real chaos exemplars and the Slaadi we get in the MM are the Primus defiled twisted versions?
