Please don't squeeze the wizard (tactical advice)

My wizard's current bag of 'don't touch me' tricks include:

Shield
Mirror Image
See Invisibility
Haste (Now has boots of speed)
Nondetection
Dimension Door (verbal only! Can cast while grappled!)
Improved Invisibility
Stoneskin
Fire Shield
Improved Flight (6th level and speed of 180)

I've never had him require all of this at the same time, but monks have nothing on him. Have a wand of magic missiles at caster level 9, they hit ethereal targets (and you see them!), and you're as fast or faster than the bugger even with normal Fly. Greater Spell Penetration == must, as well.

Seriously, nothing is as dangerous as a prepared wizard.

Another Approach

16 start Int, 2 level Int, Spellcasting Prodigy, Spell Focus and Greater Spell Focus (Transmutation) Headband of Intellect +6. With spells as Greater Magical Flow Enhancement and a Transmutation offensive spell, who cares about a monk? Let him make that Fort Save vs Disintegrate at DC 10 + 8 (Int) + 6 (Spell Level) + 4 (Spell Focus) + 2 (GMFE) = DC 30 (or Polymorph Other at DC 28).

The 11th level wizard I DM keeps himself annoyingly safe through Polymorphing to a Pixie (small flying thing that uses equipment), a wand of Invisibility and another of Improved Invisibility.
Oh, and staying out of Fireball radius from the rest of the party.

Get a masterwork big pointy stick. Gesture menacingly with the pointy stick while shrilly crying, "Back! Stay back!" :D

Low level techniques

Protection from Alignment
Grease (just keep the area in front of you slick)
Web

And probably the best thing to do, if you can manage it, is find a nice suit of masterwork plate mail, throw some enchantments on it, give it to one of your party fighters, and request they stay between you and the enemy.
Teamwork is better than spells any day of the week.

Get a hat of disguise, appear to be in full plate armor.

If they think she is a paladin or cleric the mage killers will take a little longer to target her.

Oh, and add spikes to the armor to discourage grapplers!
