Shooting Mythos creatures? Bah! Humbug! We killed a cadre of Deep ones by 1) dropping heavy crates on them on Chicago docks (luckily we had a heavy machinery operator in our group) and 2) driving my character's Chevelle repeatedly over what was left (rolled a nat. 20 on my driving check. Yay!) Weapons are useless!

No, Yellow sign, you are not. :D

COC is getting to me more everyday, in class I'll be thinking up new ideas...it's madness! Insanity!

Hopefully I will be be able to post my ideas soon about the campaign I'm going to run for my group. We've only been roleplaying for about a year now, but I think that they will be up to it.

Bah, pish-posh and balderdash I say!

Guns in CoC are often more dangerous to YOU. Especially when nasty Sanity checks are made and blown.

In our 1920's England campaign, one of our investigators was standing just behind the MP (Member of Parlaiment) that we were "supposed to be" protecting. He failed his Sanity check (badly) when the flying snake thingy (sorry, can't remember what it was) showed up. Then he rolled '00' (old percentile system) and critically fumbled the gun, unloading BOTH barrels of an Elephant Gun right into the MP's midsection.

oops.

Of course, in another adventure, we killed Dagon. By accident. Without firearms or explosives. Boy howdy, does that make you a mythic hero in short order!
