Please help locate specific spell

There was a spell in the Forgotten Realms novel "Forsaken House" that allowed a wizard to basically invert another wizard's prismatic sphere, and force the wizard with the sphere to undergo all the effects of his own spell.

I've seen this spell statted out before....but I can't remember which book or supplement. Does anyone else remember what this spell is and where it's found?

Never heard of it, but it sounds like epic magic to me.

Sounds like it was prolly in a FR-specific book...?

Doesn't sound familiar and a google search turned up nothing (maybe if you remember some of th elanguage of the write or name?) So my guess is that it's not in Player's guide to Faerun, Magic of Faerun, Races of Faerun, or Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting ... It's possible I just don't remember it being in any of those books

Yeah, it's probably an FR specific book. Or, I thought, maybe Complete Arcane or something. I wish I could remember...I'd completely forgotten about the spell until reading it in the novel, then thought, "hey, cool".

Unless it's a spell they ported from another book, like an Eberron one or something.

I know in my searches I did find one that basically inverted abjurations protecting enemy spellcasters. Forced them to suffer 1d6 dmg for each level of defensive spell protecting them. But this was different. This forced the prismatic sphere to visit all its effects on the mage it was supposed to be protecting.
