POLL : City of Heros OR World of Warcraft

So, besides me, who's played both CoH and WoW? I'm curious what people think...ie a comparison of the two. I know that they are two totally different games.

Oh, and here's something I read a while ago on www.penny-arcade.com:

What archtype(s) were you playing and what Level(s) did you reach? 'cause I don't see how you could experience enough of the game in a week to be bored with it.

I don't see why not. For the same reason I hated Diablo 2, EverQuest, and just about every other MMORPG: All you do is beat stuff up. Yeah, there's missions and whatnot, but still, all you do is beat stuff up. And that bores me.

So, out of curiosity, what games do play/like?

Most games (besides straight puzzle games) involve beating things up. NWN, Baldurs Gate, and KotR for example are plot heavy, but can be boiled down to beating things up.

You really cannot compare the 2. COH is super heroed based and is th eonly online game like it. WOW is just another fantasy rpg. There are almost 100 mmorpg out there. Though I must admit it does look awsome. I am home for a month before I go back in the army and my friends got me playing. I must admit it is addictive. And the last time I got this involved in a online game was Asherons Call 4 yrs ago! I am pretty hard to please. I tried EQ, Star Wars, and DAOC and got bored within a week. I am going to try WOW and I must admit it may be another game I am hooked on. We will wait and see. Ofcourse as usual Blizzard pushed the release of the game back. No big sholker there. They never release anything on time.
