[Poll] DMs- How much do you stick to the rules?

If I didn't want to have a heavily codified system, I wouldn't play D&D. When I want a rules-light campaign, I use other systems or make my own. Right now, I'm into D&D because it gives the players a different kind of power than in less heavily codified systems; when I want to go for a different player-GM dynamic, I'll switch systems.

Well said.

The RPG marketplace has a game suited for every taste and style. I don't understand why so many people seem eager to frustrate themselves by wedging square pegs into round holes.
