Does your fighter have a Big Axe or does he go Ranger style with two axes ? Or he prefers reach and uses spiked chain ? This poll is to know the fighters preferred means to deal out damage to their foes.

Note: Only Fighters please... Barbarians, Paladins, etc.. no no no... :)

Multiple poll allowed - Poll for all your groups Fighters.

Some explanations:

Doubleweapon: Dire Flail... 2 bladed sword - Darth Maul stuff
1 wpn only: You let your off hand free - Duelist style
Reach Weapon: Long Spears, spiked chain, etc...
Unarmed: Fist, spiked gauntlets, etc.. - Monk way
Archers: X-bow, bows, slings - missiles

If you alternate between one hand and two hand choose One Big Wpn... (thanks warning Zhure)

You left out medium weapon used two-handed. My PsyWar does that. Lets him make some choices that the TWF and the One Weapon guy doesn't get.

I don't know if it helps you or not, but in my group's various campaigns, we have one fighter who uses a double weapon, one fighter who uses a shortbow, one fighter who uses two weapons, and one fighter who uses a big-a** Greataxe. Of course, the best solution is whatever the situation calls for. It would be stupid to charge a tarrasque with a Greataxe, no matter HOW tough you are.

Of course, you could be like our Sorcerer, who casts Haste on himself, and then proceeds to put a wand in each hand and go wading in six-gun style. :)

Our group fighter, who has also taken some rogue levels lately, uses a rapier and a shield. What next, gauntlet and shield style? He has 20 STR also, so I doubt he even uses a rapier with the finess it's designed for.

Though it wsn't asked, our new paladin uses a Maul, and the ranger uses a bow.

The one fighter IMC uses either a nagimaki (intended primarily for horseback use) or a two-bladed sword. With all the right feats its a vicious weapon indeed.

My character is a Fighter/Wizard so a reach weapon is very useful since you always want to keep one step away so you can cast spells without worrying about AoO. Plus with Combat Reflexs you don't need to worry as much about winning initiative as you will get an AoO when they close.

My new fighter character is supposed to be an archer, but every battle we did lately, we got ambushed or surprised or somehow unable to attack from range :(. So I use a longsword either two-handed or with a buckler. The other fighter in the group use two-handed weapons: either a glaive or a falchion. With my sky high dexterity, I can compensate my average str and my rock bottom con :D

In our Campaign we have a Elf Fighter/Cleric who is an archer first and foremost. The main "fighter" however is a 1/2 Orc Paladin of Hereionous who is into two handed weapons. He's always questing for a larger axe. He's got a Greatsword +1 for now, but the minute he finds a better axe he will go for it.
