Of course, if it's anything like Shadow Chasers mini-game (which was used to give us an early preview of the d20 Modern rules), it could offer a preview of upcoming d20 Future material.Davelozzi said:I don't think this will require Future. I'm pretty sure the ad in the new Dungeon/Poly just said "for d20 Modern". According to the product listing over at Wizard's, d20 Future is actually going to be an supplement for Modern anyway, not a full game on it's own. It's supposed to be coming out in August.
As for D20 Future, I'm definately curious to see what it gives us that Iron Lords of Jupiter and Star Wars D20 don't. But I guess that's another thread...
Uh, yeah. Damn those Freemasons. [Well, that got me off for not buying the products.]JPL said:1. This is a very good thing. Poor campaign world never got a fair chance. I blame the Freemasons.
If they don't, who's to stop you from lowering the Reality Level? If you want a more lethal campaign, go ahead and lower the Massive Damage Threshold to 10 across the board.JPL said:2. I assume this will be for d20 Modern? If so, I wonder if the minigame will suggest dialing down the massive damage threshhold...that's a good way to keep things kinda Muldar-n-Scully rather than Buffy-n-Angel. Me, I wouldn't mind playing things a little more action hero...
New or existing?JPL said:3. Now what sorta advanced classes...Parapsychologist? Cryptoengineer? Xenobiologist?
That would mean more pages devoted to a magic chapter if you want to introduce a new system. HOWEVER, if you can introduce a new system using existing mechanics (like offer a spell point costs for spells already found in d20 Modern) than that would save pages for other D*M material.JPL said:4. Dark*Matter cries out for a non-Vancian spellcasting system.
