Possibly..err...probably..a stupid question

I suspect its been answered here somewhere months ago, nor can I find (at the moment) anything explaining it in KOTS but I don't know exactly so I'm gonna ask :D

On a few of the Monster powers they have listed "recharge 5 6 " Now I kinda figured out that the power recharges :D - and I'm assuming every 5 rounds- so what does the "6" mean?

TIA!

If I remember correctly it's a die roll not a time. a roll of 5 or 6 (on a d6 I believe?) refreshes the power...

Can't remember when or how you gt to make that roll though.

From what I recall, the DM only rolls a recharge dice once per creature, per turn, no matter how many abilities a creature has that may recharge.

So if a creature has an ability that recharges on a 4, 5 or 6, and another ability that recharges on a 5 or 6, you roll a d6 once at the start of the creature's turn. If it is a 4 or lower, then only that ability recharges. If it's a 5, however, both abilities are recharged.

At least, I think that's how it is.

That would make more sense than rolling a separate die for each power, because if you were rolling for each power, there'd be no reason to get all cute by switching up the numbers like we've seen with some creatures' powers (recharge this power on a 5 or 6, this other power on a 4, that power on a 1 or 2).

Nope, it's one per each power.

And there are no powers that recharge on only a 4, or a 1 or 2. Every power recharges on #-plus. One might recharge only on 6, while another recharges on a 4, 5, or 6--but none on just a 4.

Per power, huh? Wow, that's more rolling than I had thought. :) So, what do you do? Roll at the beginning of each monsters' turn, or at the end?
