I love me some powdered milk, but my dad refuses to buy it. Whenever I get to spend some time at my best friend's aprtment, he always makes me a nice big glass of powdered milk. Him and I love the stuff. Do you like powdered milk? What is one of your favorite drinks that other people think is weird?

My favourite drink is Pocari Sweat, a Japanese sports (isotonic) drink. I acquired a taste for it when I was studying karate in Tokyo. You can really work up a thirst after two straight hours of karate in 100F (38C?) temperature and 98% humidity.

I don't know what a pocari is but its perspiration tastes lovely.

It comes in liquid and powder form. The powder form allows you to make is as concentrated as you like (or can bear). Love that Sweat!

Clamato is usually a Canadian thing, what with all the bloody caesars they serve around here, but I can't stand the stuff myself. Too much salt. Egh.

I'm really fond of bitters, those drink mixes that are slightly sweet and fairly bitter. They're made out of various herbal preparations, and the most well-known is tonic water. I like to drink tonic water straight, and I love orange bitters (my favourite is the Maltese drink called Kinny), and that weird day-glo pink Italian bitter that tastes exactly like a fizzy Campari is also very good.

I love Clamato. It is a clam and tomato juice mixture
Let me vote for that one too! It's best with extra worcestershire sauce and tabasco sauce; I also recommend making caesars with gin instead of vodka -- another way to take clamato up a notch (for three notches you can soak marijuana buds in the gin for a few weeks first to make a tincture). I used to have it for breakfast most days when I was in high shcool. I'm a big fan also of Indian salty lassi (as opposed to sweet or mango lassi which seems more common. Avocat is fun too, especially when suspended in some other liqueur.

One of my former players created his own "black and tan" style drink using orange soda and coke.
I didn't care much for it.

I enjoy Egg Nog mixed 50/50 with Skim Milk, and can't drink it otherwise. I also mix 75% sweet tea with 25% cranberry juice, but I don't think that is that odd - they serve it that way at Red Lobster, too.

I work in a coffeehouse, and I love Chai Tea Lattes (or I did until we switched from that most blessed mixture, Oregon Chai, to a house formula). I like it best with a touch of chocolate and a touch of mint, topped with whipped cream.

Its not really very strange, and everyone I've fed it to likes it, but folks always look at me funny when I first mention it.

I used to live in Argentina and became hopelessly addicted to this tea they make called Yerba Mate. It's rather different than most teas though since to make it you put the dry tea in a hollowed out gourd (they carve them quite intricately and have fancy bases and the like for them) then add water. You drink it through a straw that has a filter on the bottom so you arn't sucking up tea leaves. It's very bitter, it's supposed to be good for you, and it's impossible to get in Canada :( .

Actually it isn't entiarly true that you can't get it in Canada. I've started seeing it in bottles beside the lipton green tea. I tried one... it tastes like old socks coated in suger.
