Power Attack feat question...

Couldn't agree more. There's nothing quite like getting an extra attack on a charge at your full attack bonus!

There's something that's arguably even better, however: Pounce! Especially if you have Rake as well. (Big) cats rock.

Is there any reason a cat who had the necesary feats couldn't (great) cleave on her pounce attacks?

One weird note. A wizard or sorceror could take power attack as a first level feat, but would get no use out of it until 2nd level as their BAB at 1st level is 0.

This actually happened in a campaign I was in. The character was going for a "battle mage". Dwarven Sorceror who took levels of fighter later. I am still shaking my head on that one.

A human wizard could take Power Attack as a first level feat, and could get use out of it... as a prerequisite for Cleave!

I could actually see that as a viable feat chain:

Spell Cleave

Basically have any targeted spell that kills an oponent be able to arc of an hit another target. Have the prereqs be Power Attack, Cleave, and Spellcraft 8 and you might have a winner.
