Power Attack, Improved Trip

Do people have thoughts or opinions on altering d20 Modern Power Attack and Improved Trip to match their D&D 3.5 counterparts? Does it make them too powerful, or is it good to make d20 Modern closer to D&D 3.5, since that's what it almost is already?

It may be appealing for melee attackers, but in the d20 Modern game I'm playing, gunslingers rule.
