You also might want to see if your printer can print more than one page per sheet. It's usually called 2-up printing. Two portrait pages are printed side by side on single sheet in landscape view. This will save you plenty of paper if you also print double-sided. Unfortunately you can't print more than 4 pages at a time:
print 1 to 2
flip and refeed the sheet
print 3 to 6
flip and refeed the last sheet
print 7 to 10
flip and refeed the last sheet
etc.
And as nice as some of the colors are in some pdfs, you are better off saving your color cartridge and printing in black and white.

I want to say color laser printing is like .75 a sheet..but don't quote me on it. Essentially you buy a PDF file is you just want the book before everyone else, or you use a laptop a lot. I use a laptop for D&D so well, I like PDF versions better. However, I think B&W prints like like .05-.10 (I think). If you have a friend who is a graphic artist, they probably could make a professional looking one.

Try finding somewhere you can rent a printer from. You may find that it comes out to be less expensive as you don't have to pay by the page.

My first thought is, congratulations on your new pdf's. Obviously, you managed to do it on a computer--so don't you have a printer? How can you be at a loss as to where or how to print it? Buying a printer seems the simplest answer to me! $300 will get you a fine color inkjet printer these days. Only $200 if you don't mind it being a little slower to print.
If you're savvy enough to buy stuff on the internet, you should be able to figure this one out on your own

I bought some heavy card stock, and print in color for the cover page only. It looks and feels nicer to me.
As for putting it together, I have come to prefer double-sided printing (with all B&W interior pages), and using clear sheet protectors in a thin notebook. There are a lot of good pdf's around, but I like to keep each item in a seperate notebook, and then take only the ones I think I will need with me when I go to a game (which is usually not more than one, if any at all).
My home laser printer at 600dpi is still as sharp or sharper than my 2400x2400 color inkjet when it comes to text output. If you print a lot of text documents at home it might be worth looking into a home laser printer.
My major peeve with most inkjets on the market is that they don't print properly with respect to the page margins. There is often space which, even with a full page of text, the printer must shrink down a bit in order to fit completely. Sometimes this distorts the output into something that doesn't look like what the pdf page looks like. it's just something to keep in mind the next time you are looking for an inkjet printer, I suppose.
