PRISONERS OF PROPHECY (MEDIEVAL TALES)
Prisoners of Prophecy is a two-part adventure based loosely on characters from the real-world medieval tale, Orlando Furioso ("Roland the Mad") and the folk-legend of Robert the Devil - a legendary Norman villain whose deeds were the subject of their own gruesome myths. The story, told in two parts, weaves elements of these narratives together and (as with other adventures for Medieval Tales) sets them during the period of the Hundred Years War.

Features of this product include:

* A 96-page adventure in two parts, the first detailing a journey across the Gascon wilderness as part of a quest to track a mysterious enchanter to his magical castle high in the Pyrenees. His lair is a fortress of illusions, one which the characters must enter if they hope to rescue the prisoners kept captive there.

* A second adventure which picks up years later and sees the characters traveling from the frontier with the Ottoman Empire, to an abandoned castle high in the Alps, to the city of Dijon during a time of plague, and into the depths of the Foret de Rouvray near Rouen. This sequel deals with the repurcussions of the party's actions in the first adventure, giving the characters a chance to make right unforeseen events set in motion more than a decade prior.

* Color maps of several key Gascon castles, including the fortress of Quat'Sos ("the Four Sisters"), Labrit, and Moncade.
