The Free Gaming Association is pleased to announce the release of version 1.0 of the Prometheus Compatability License.

The Prometheus Compatability Trademarks are an indicator of compatability governed by a neutral party. The 1.0 final license is perpetual: it will never be more restrictive than it is now because, as with the Open Gaming License, anyone will be able to use any version of the logo license in perpetuity.

The license is avaliable by itself, or as a zip'd file containing print-ready versions of the artwork.

The FGA welcomes comments and input on Prometheus or our other major project, the OpenDie "Open Gaming" trademark, at our yahoogroup, FGA-Prometheus@yahoo.com. To join, go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/FGA-Prometheus.

Does the zip file have image format files of the logos? That'd be simpler and better than copying out of a pdf file.

Thanks

Yep.

The ZIP file contains the license as a PDF and DOC file, and the logo as a GIF, TIF, and PSD file.

OK, color me confused. Do the three wheels together constitute "the logo", or is each one a possible logo? If the latter, why are all three in a single file instead of 3 seperate files?

Right now I've got a tif, a gif, and something I assume is a Paintshop Pro 7 file. Each has a single image with three similar but not identical wheels...big, little, and itsy bitsy. If it's one logo, it's not very attractive, and if they're three different versions, it's a hassle to have to crop the image to cut out the one you want.

Thanks
Nell.

Good question.

Unfortunately, I'm not the one who packages the logos. I'll pass along your point to them, though.

For the record, any of the three wheels is usable as a logo. Slight varaints were incorporated for use in different sizes.
