I paid $3 for that mousepad from Dell, and they sold it to me, KNOWING that it causes this sort of problem? :mad:

Grrr... Now I have to go and buy a new mousepad...

Is it a thin black mousepad with the Dell logo in the middle? Has a shiny, sort of gridded/patterned surface? Yep. Toss it and go to Staples or Office Depot and get a plain, smooth, flat-colored mousepad, or don't use any pad at all. Optical mice don't really need a pad, as long as the table surface you are using it on is smooth.

I have three optical mice at home and don't use mousepads with any of them. They're not necessary. :)
