Putting a PC on 'pause'

Hey, maybe I should test that in the next game session ;)

Uh, Sialla, you realize that KidC is merely going to take that as a cue to be MORE rat-bastardly and evil in running her CoC games.

bring it on.

Worse, I've aquired a PDA, although I'm so embarrassed about this development, I haven't actually taken it out in public as yet.

I never thought I'd use mine but, as it turns out, I've developed an entire campaign using it in my spare time (Dentist's office, sitting in front of the TV, etc.). I picked up a brainstorming program and went nuts.

Now I just need to finish off my current campaign (I'm close, maybe two sessions left) and then have fun with the shere Chaos.

*thread diversion!* If a character turns into a hummingbird, flies into a forest and a tree falls on it with no one else around, does Cthulu get a chuckle out of it? ;)

That depends. Assuming Cthulu ever does chuckle, would anyone survive hearing him do so? And if no one survives hearing Cthulu chuckle, did he ever make a sound?

Always happy to take up a challenge. But really, my games will never have the soul eroding terror of Mythagos, becayse my games are one shots. Like a roller coaster, you know there will be a beginning, a lot of screaming and then an end. And you'll get off, breathless and shaking and say "Let's do it again". Only a continuing game, where you care deeply about your characters and a true rat bastard is in charge can really fudge you up!

For chrissakes people, the way you put a PC on pause is to press the Pause key. It's right there on your keyboard, next to the Scroll Lock key.

Unless you're talking about putting Piratecat on pause. I wouldn't know anything about that.

Give him an awakened hummingbird love interest. Perhaps he could become the nucleus for a hummingbird hivemind. Drop a half-dragon (pseudo) template on him. ;)

See, mine says Pause Break. I'm not sure I want to break my PCs just yet.

Nah, that's to pause it while it's breaking. Now the scroll lock key, that's SAN-loss inducing - I've never met anyone who knew what it was for. :P

It's only for high to Epic level Wizards.
