Questions regarding Glyph

Adventurer
According to the SRD, you can set a Glyph of Warding to either do direct damage, or to store a harmful spell that will be triggered.

"harmful" is the term I'm interested in.

Cause Serious is a harmful spell, unless the creature is undead. Cure Serious is harmful, if the target is undead.

Are either of these spell legitimate w/regard to Glyph of Warding?

I'd say yes, but only in the event that they trigger harmful effects.
A Cure spell will only activate if it is an Undead that triggers it, and a Cause spell will activate only if the trigger man is not.

Sure, as long as the result would be harmful. Thankfully the spell can accommodate such requirements.

Alternatively or in addition to a password trigger, glyphs can be set according to physical characteristics (such as height or weight) or creature type, subtype, or kind.

Stronghold Builders Guidebook has some Wondrous Architecture (Applications of the Craft Woundrous Items feat to buildings) where you can create permanent panels of repeating spell effects.

Some examples include the Bier of Resurrection, a stone slab that if you place a dead body and a 500gp diamond upon it, casts the Resurrection spell and the Platform of Healing, a 10' square on the floor that casts Heal every time you step on it.

The book has tons of examples of things similar to this, both beneficial and traps.
