R1: Hired Hands (nimisgod judging)

"Where could one get arrows of this type?" Tor asks, holding up the distinctive looking black shaft.

Is it painted black, or made from a black wood?

Gideon quietly steps aside with Ragnikyr and asks him, "Do you know if the Ravensdale or Allimon militia or town guards use colored arrows like this?"

Horton scratches his head, "Well, I dunno. I suppose I could ask. What is it you wish to discuss with him, exactly?"

Ragnikyr:[sblock]You notice that the boy, Dak, is hanging around trying to remain unnoticed. It almost appears like he's trying to eavesdrop on your conversation with Horton.[/sblock]

"We're looking for these pesky bringands, and hope that Mr. Traver might have some knowledge that would help us. Does he know, for example, of any local fletchers in the habit of painting their arrows black?"

"Eh, I'm not awares of any like that. Follow me up t'the house."

Horton leads you through the workyard to a large two-story house. "If'n you'll stay here on the porch for a minute, I'll go in and see if I can't get you an audience with Mr. Travers."

Tor & Ragnikyr:[sblock]You notice that Dak seems to have followed you across the yard. He is trying to appear busy doing some menial yardwork near the porch, but you can tell he's also trying to listen in on your group.[/sblock]

Tor grins. All is working out splendidly. The bandits should present themselves within the hour, and then the serious head-pounding can begin. He makes a mental note to tell the others of his suspicions when he gets a moment.
