devae

planetae

solae

Um...'deva' is not a latin root (it's sanskrit), and would not take a latin-style plural form; devas is correct. Planetar is an invented word which doesn't much resemble any latin noun (it actually resembles an adjective form) so a default english plural form of planetars is correct. Solar is in fact an adjective, and using it as a noun is thus an invented form; again, a default english plural of solars is thus correct.

Oh, pish tosh. Next you'll be telling me that the plural of bacteria is not bacteriae, or the plural of ninja is not ninjae, or something equally silly.

I'd watch what you say about them "ninjae" people. I've heard that they can [Whisper] Iggout-way and-ay op-chay off-ar or-yay ed-hay[/whisper]

Oh hum...

From MM (pp. 11-12):

" [...] Astral Devas watch over lesser beings [...] Planetars serve as mighty generals [...] Solars are puissant champions [...] "

Sorry dude...

Back to topic: I would go for those monsters stated as angels in the MM, Half-Celestials and Avariels resemble quite well angels, or the Sword Archon in the BoED.

About your lil problem with Solars, etc. what is the correct plural of Balor?!? -Might it be Bali, Balori or Balors...in the MM it is stated as Balors for sure, any other ideas.
