Ranged melee without provoking?

I'm running an Essentials Hunter and want to look into different ways I might make longbow attacks in melee. I think I remember a cloak or armor that would allow it, or perhaps there's a feat? I could also consider an enchanted bow. I'm currently level 3 with bracers of the perfect shot as my only magic item.

Take the Harrowing Swarm Student feat (Martial Power 2), then take the Harrowing Swarm Scout feat. You can retrain them both later once your Hunter automatically gets the feature that allows ranged attacks without granting OA's.

There's also Shimmering Armor from AV, but it's cloth only.

At level 10 (or 9?) you get to do it as a class feature, if you can wait that long.

I think you're looking for Shadowdance Armor.

actually, shimmering armor will probably work since I'm wearing cloth - dex is maxed, a point blank weapon is also a good option, particularly since this is a Dark Sun campaign and I don't have a magic weapon yet.
