Ranger PrC questions

I second to Darklone. Also, you can take alternative class feature for Ranger in Complete Warrior or Complete Champion if you don't like to cast spells. The former gives you additional feats, while the latter gives you faster speed and some Su powers.

Also, onto PrC, if you can play an evil character in your campaign, Blackguard could be another option. Ranger can fulfill the requirements of this class rather easily, as Hide skill is a class skill. Also, when you get Control Undead class feature from Blackguard levels, now you can use Divine Might (Complete Warrior). This feat works very well with 2WF. Having Sneak Attack is good for a 2WF style warrior, too.

Sorry, the name is actually Sun School. It's this tactical feat. (C. War, p 112 according to a google search.) It predates ToB.

Whenever you move via a dimension door-like class ability you may make one attack at your highest BAB after. Originally it was designed for monks closing in on spellcasters, but it's quite nice when you can dimension-door every 1d4 rounds.

Thanks. You still need to have monk levels, though, so you'd need to be a Monk/Ranger/Horizon Walker type combo.

Well, yes, you would need one level of Monk. Wis should be at least moderately high for a ranger, though, so that is not necessarily a bad thing. Kensai would also work, but it would have to be the dragon magazine one, and most DMs would not allow that.
