Rate D1-16: Dragonlance

I give the series a 9. There are too many individually cool adventures in here for me not to. (Dragons of Despair and Dragons of Dreams especially).

I'll be running it fairly soon, I think - hopefully updated to 3.5e

I gave them a three. The railroading killed them for me.

this is the most even distribution of rankings Ive ever seen. How interesting! I thought it was a 4, but look how many of my peers thought it was a 1 and how many thought it was a 9 or 10, Ive never seen that before

I had a terrible time as a player in the first few adventures, and a great time as a DM for the first five adventures. My players seemed to have a better time while playing it too.

The problem was that I played under a DM who 1.) Told us not to read the books, and 2.) Got upset when we did not do what the characters in the book did... In particular my version of Raistlin ended up Neutral Good not evil... I prefer to be a hero, dang it! For some reason the DM got all hot and bothered about that.

I am giving it a 7 for the time I ran it, the time that I played it was a solid 2 (take that in what ever context you prefer... ).
