We saw Forbidden City Cop on a flight from Hong Kong to Tokyo. It was a little surreal as we were listening to an English dub that I think must have missed the entire point of the film. So we're surrounded by Chinese people who are killing themselves laughing while my wife and I are sitting there, thinking, "What the heck is going on?" Everyone listening on headphones so if you take them off, the plane is silent except for constant Chinese laughter.

Very strange experience.
I'd say that'd be strange too, if I hadn't experienced on a flight home from Tokyo (on JAL no less) "Mouse Hunt" being shown to us... it was the same situation... :D

Enjoyed it immensely. Did expect more of the 'musical' aspect, but I rather liked that I wasn't sure what to expect until halfway through the movie.

I'm a big fan of crazy martial arts, and this was the craziest (right down to it's Dragonball Z-esque end-fight that made the final battle of the Matrix seem weaker than it already did). I would go to see it again in a heartbeat. My wife, Valanthe, has already seen it twice. It's just so much goddamned FUN.
