I'm not particularly a fan of Michael Bay's films, but then again, I've never hated a Michael Bay film either.

And, like I said, Logan's Run is arguably a good movie. ;) Apparently Brian Singer co-wrote a remake of it that's supposed to (according to imdb) have a 2006 release. That intrigues me greatly.

6. Forgettable, kinda silly (They have to be alive and experience things or the organs don't work? Nice try), but far less idiotic than anything else Michael Bay's ever cranked out. Most of my problems with it were about the story, and in the end I think his direction and style actually saved this movie from a much lower rating.

[sblock]Any writer that uses the tired "He's the clone - No, HE'S the clone!" maneuver needs to be taken out and horsewhipped right now.[/sblock]

Laws past in 2050 are mentioned, so we know that the movie takes place after that.

I was almost certain that the actor said "2015". Are you sure he said "50"? It would make a lot more sense if he'd said "2015".

I'm with him. Sure sounded like 2015 to me. And I quite enjoyed the film. Maybe I just have the ability to find deeper meanings in anything but it seemed like a good view at the lengths humanity will go to for self preservation, both good and bad. And it did this while keeping me entertained for the whole time. Not a bad mix.

One of my problems with it:

Why did the dumb supervisor give Ewan McGregor the keys to the whole place without asking it back? "Sure, go visit the innards of the place! Be my guest!"
Why not give the keys to the bloody safe while you're at it?
