Barbed Arrow of Burdening
These arrows appear to be +1 (or higher) magical arrows. They are loaded and fired as usual, and cause normal damage to the target. However, once struck, the opponent must make a Reflex save DC 15 to rip the arrow out before it activates. Success indicates no additional ill effects. Failure indicates the arrow has activated, growing hideous barbs to lodge itself deeply in the flesh of the victim. In addition, the arrow increases in weight until it weighs 50 lbs. Removing such an arrow is a standard action that deals another 2d6 points of damage to the target. The arrows can be removed harmlesly with a cure spell where at least 15 points of healing were rolled. This enchantment can also be placed on other piercing missile weapon.
