I gave it a 7, but would have given it a 6.5 if it'd been possible. It really suffered when compared to X-Men 2, but it was a pretty good comic book movie. My biggest complaints would be the paper-thin character development, and the fact that - despite what they were promising (the last stand, an epic war between good and evil mutants) - the climax of the film was really nothing special, both visually, and in terms of its scope.

I gave it a 5.

The first X-men film a give a 6, the second one I give a 7.

There some nice moments that were cool, but over all I felt the execution was a tad sloppy and the battles with mutant powers not fully realized. Certain turning points for character relationships felt unrealistic as well.

If its true that they rushed the film for memorial day weekend, then it shows. They should'nt have done that. Certainly not a stinker super hero movie like Daredevil but fairly so-so and underwhelming.

I gave it an 8.

It's too short; a lot of the characters weren't adequately developed.

And the last shot is horrible--the most cliched sequel-spawning stupidity that producers force onto almost every interesting movie.

But I have to give them props for the, uh, stuff I won't discuss in this thread. And the big mutant battle at the end is fun to watch, though it could have been both bigger and longer.

I think I gave it a 6 on the poll (I voted yesterday) but actually I should have given it a 7.

I was a little disappointed. It was missing some of the emotional resonance that I really enjoyed in the first two films. I think they would have done better to keep the cast more streamlined; some of the secondary characters were pretty useless. And there were a couple of places where they could have done some good character development and chose not to, presumably in favor of more big action scenes. But I still enjoyed myself, and I think I had an enormous grin on my face all through the opening scenes.

This is definately not the hate and lothing i've seen in other threads. Most of the reviews I've read have it pretty good.

That's because you only get to vote once.

If you look at some other threads what you'll see is the same few people basically chiming in again and again with posts that, in essence say "yeah but it still sucked".

As the OP noted, the people who liked the movie, are just commenting and moving on.

I gave it a 3, as I didn't really enjoy myself (but I can certainly understand how others liked the movie).

(Aside: I was only there once, just to pre-emptively sidestep anyone bleating a wacky accusation at me.)

I gave it a 9 - I found it surprising, shocking and emotionally involving. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

If you haven't seen it yet, do make sure that you stay to the very end of the credits. No spoilers in this thread, but if you don't normally stay to the very end, do so this time. Really.

Cheers

Just a random comment here, but it's not as if people are stopping and extolling the virtues of the movie either. "Moving on", to me, implies that it was an okay diversion, but it's not very memorable. That isn't a particularly good thing.

Besides, we know that limitless negativity is the fuel that runs the internet! :p

It seems that most people saying "it's good" are just popping in and making one response, but the people who are saying, "it's bad" are saying it numerous times.

That doesn't seem to be the case if you pull up the who posted breakdown - but I'm not going to try to track each one specifically to the thread. I got the impression you had a couple fanboys and a couple nay-sayers and the rest had a its "OK but" attitude

Damn, I didn't do this. I didn't know.

And I give X-Men: The Last Stand a solid 7 out of 10. Not as good as the first two, but enjoyable.
