D&D 5E REALLY REALLY BAD DM ADVICE

Constancy is the hobgoblin of little minds. Just because it worked one way for one player last week should not get in the way of you telling a better story when your favorite NPC (or you're wife's PC) does it this week.

Remember, it's your story. Don't let your players ruin it by missing your clues or doing the wrong thing.

Have lots of combats where it is just your NPCs fighting each other while the PCs watch, or better yet have it in a location where the PCs can't watch so you can just play out the battle by yourself without the bother of narrating it.

Make sure that every NPC speaks with an accent.

I mean, having distinct voices for different NPCs can be very helpful. Doesn’t always have to be an accent, but making sure they sound different from each other is a good idea.

Excellent. Schrödinger the Orc will definitely be making an appearance in my campaign.

Of course. I recommand watching videos of the "One Man Lord of the Rings" show to see how easy it can be to make different characters as distinctive as possible. That being said, unless you're really talented, accents are annoying.

I only allow races and classes from the PHB.
