Really strange email...

I just got 7 really really long emails from the same person about a post I had written someplace about how I thought the Beatles were overated. (Where or when I wrote this, they didn't say, though I imagine I did since I think that's true. )

The only one I read was a 36 kb rant about them. (I think the rest are articles).

Has anyone ever gotten something weird like this out of the blue? I sometimes get weird email from when I write a review - I got a lot of flak for my SG-1 review for calling Richard Dean Anderson "MacGuyver"

I think you should turn the email over to the FBI to investigate. For all you know, he could be some obsessed loser of a fan who's currently trying to find your place of residence in order to stop you from blaspheming the Beatles.

I have to say though, that it is quite a stretch to even begin to claim that the Beatles weren't "all that". They were one of the best things to ever happen to music and we will likely not see their likes again in our lifetime.

... that's bizarre. Some people take trivial stuff WAY too seriously. (though, I know the feeling - I get those sorts of rants every time I say Nirvana is overrated... I just don't get them from random strangers that read my posts on the internet)

I did.

I used to have my setting up on the web for free. I include gunpowder, but I have spells specifically designed to elminate it since I reasoned that any wizard is going to want to take those gun things out right quick. So, among others, I have a spell called Detect Gunpowder.

So I get this email from a guy in South America who is thrilled by this new way I have to detect gunpowder and he wants to know all about it so he can help to impliment it in airports. At first I thought he was joking, but I typed "detect gunpowder" into google and guess what the number one page was? Yep. My spell list.

I didn't write the guy back. I figured that could only lead to one of us being incredibly embarassed and I wasn't 100% sure it would be him.

I once got an email from piratecat, and he told me not to use so much profanity?!?! Wierd.

No seriously I have never recieved anything from anyone here unless it is good natured, I suppose some people don't understand that everyone has a right to an opinion.

Bizarre. He emailed me once and told me the exact opposite. Of course that one-eyed, one hand has always been trying to get me booted from ENWorld. None of his shenanigans have worked yet. :D

I get down and dirty and fight on some boards. I'm kind of known for harsh, brutal, no soft-touch answers.

I've been email bombed, had viruses sent to me, and all kinds of abuse.

For the most part, I've never cared. Most people are jackasses anyway that are just braying the same crap as all the others.

Didn't you write about the "Beatles are overrated"-thing in a "favourite music" thread here a little while ago?
Someone must have taken offence...

Hmmmm. Possibly. If I offended someone, oops, I have this tact deficiency...
