Hee! Thanks. My original plan was to do it after knocking him out.

But this'll work too. Thorn doesn't quite trust that this guy won't suddenly nut up once he's surrounded by a squad of guards again. :)

*gasp*

Oh no! The guy we were just trying to bludgeon unconscious as we did the same to all his men doesn't like it?! NOOOOO!

(^_^)

Seriously though, Thorn's not trying to get on this guy's list of folks to get a Christmas Ham. She just wants out.

Darn two misses against Cray and if we both hit it could have ended up being 30 points of damage!! This 4e is dangerous. LOL :p

Sorry for my tardy posting the past few days... my father was admitted to the hospital with a small heart attack and I've been spending a good portion of my time the last few days visiting and arranging for his arrival back to his home hopefully tomorrow. My posting will pick up a bit more by the end of the week I'm sure as this is nothing I can't handle, just too many irons in the fire on the r/l side of things. All caught up now but if my posting is still slow the next couple of days now you know why :)

Thanks for the update, Rathan. I hope your dad feels better, and that everything goes smoothly for your family.

To everybody, if you're ever in need of a break due to real-life factors, please don't hesitate. There's no penalty involved, and when you're ready to come back, you'll be able to jump back in immediately.

After all, this is just a game. Family ought to be the most important thing.

PART ONE: LEVELING UP

So here is my question regarding leveling up. Personally, I'd like you guys to be able to level up really quickly, and here's what I'll propose.

If we went by the normal experience curve, you would likely hit level 2 in another month or so. However, I think it would be more fun to level up fairly quickly. How would you feel about leveling up after every moderately difficult encounter, but having the level-up actual occur during an extended rest?

For example, we've had two fairly exciting battles. My idea is that once you've had an extended rest (at the Fancy Drake, for instance), you could level up twice: once per encounter.

That way, you'd be able to keep on getting more powerful, and I'd be able to throw even more fun challenges at you.

PART TWO: I HATE DISTRACTINGFLARE

As this is my first PbP campaign, I'd also like to get a bit of feedback on how I've been doing as a DM.
Is the story interesting?
Is the combat fun?
Is the game well-paced?
These are all things I'd like to know so that I can provide a great gaming experience for everybody. Please chime in with any comments, praise, complaints, or suggestions you've got.
