If we don't here from Zhantain, Lidia or Kels soon I suggest we just have them 'freeze up' or move into the room.
Zhantain and Lidia were at the back and could be trapped behind the 'panicked' Hulan.
Perhaps roll Lidia's attack with the torch, or club as that's what she said she'd do.

OOC: No problem. In the rules as written, you announce your actions, then roll initiative, then roll dice and resolve actions, each round. Having read through all the rules, I'm fudging things a bit to keep things moving with an us-them-us-them action resolution system.

note I'm looking at OSRIC
I just like to comment that it would be fairly easy for us to view the character posts as the Declare spells and general actions taken one step further because if we plan to attack we actually go ahead and roll it. The DM could then Determine Initiative for both characters and monsters, and then annonce the actual combat results. I also think it would be easiest to have you the DM determine surprise for the party. This should reasult in faster play/posting.
The only trick is the spell casters -- normally their able to decide to not cast the spell . . . but not replace that with a new action . . . hmmm. Guess we could just go with a 'if it still makes sense clause' and see if problems emerge.

I think this would lead to more clarity in the game(though maybe the way i've explained it isn't that clear) and a more truly 1e feel.

My 2 cents.

Vino:

I have never had to bury a character in 1st ed, 2nd ed or 3.5. wha tis the cost of a burieal? can these tunnes be used as a catacombs? or would that spook the miners too much?

of course, if this is already a barial mond, it may not matter at all.
